Ohio River Buddy Trail Ravenswood 7-16-2016
A calm, cloudy, partly sunny day, greeted the 45 teams at Ravenswood to take on a tough
dog day summer bite. Six teams scratched out limits, consisting of mostly mixed bags of bass
where 49 largemouth; 31 smallmouth; and 9 spots made a small total of 89 fish caught, with only
three dead even with the 83 degree water and mid 80’s air temperature; congratulations to all teams.
I would like to thank Blair Construction who sponsored the plaques; Ohio River Outdoors for the
$250.00 and big bass plaque sponsorship; Polymer Services of Ohio for their great hot dogs each
tournament and Boggs Pizza and Grill for the drinks , and all the teams that fish the tournament, and
the ORBT Staff. Now on a serious side of tournament fishing; a team member from each team/or even
if fishing by yourself; YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PUTTING YOUR CHIP IN THE BUCKET BEFORE THE
END OF YOUR FLIGHT TIME, NONE OF THE ORBT STAFF WILL COME AND GET IT FROM YOU AND THEY
WILL ALWAYS BE ON LAND, NOT IN A BOAT AND MAYBE AT THE TOP OF THE RAMP WHERE MOST
PEOPLE WILL BE WALKING TO GET THEIR TRAILER: THEY ALL HAVE BRIGHT LIME GREEN T- SHIRTS, YOU
HAVE TO SEE THEM. THIS RULE WILL AND ALWAYS HAS BEEN STRICTLY ENFORCED. YOU WANT
YOUR FISH WEIGHED, GET YOUR CHIP IN THE BUCKET. PERIOD. This is the top nine teams:
