Ohio River Buddy Trail Powhatan Point Results 8.12.2017
Great weather conditions Saturday at Powhatan Point as 60 teams fish the fifth stop on the trail
this year. As has been the norm this year, the smallmouth dominated the scales with 159 weighed in
only 10 largemouth and 5 spots for a total of 174 fish. They combined tipped the scales to 224.10 #’s
for a average of 1.05 # per fish. Big bass was a smallmouth at 3 # 15 oz. by team Suter again. The
points chase has come down to the next ORBT at Belpre in September with the top three teams
having a small cushion above the next 10 teams; a stumble by anyone would result in a shuffle again
at the top; we will see how it plays out. 15 limits were caught. Here are the top 12 teams:
1st place – Bruce and Patrick Johnson (5) 9 # 12 oz.
2nd place – Roger and Russell Steele (5) 8 # 4 oz.
3rd place – Joseph and Joe Mitchem (5) 8 # 2 oz.
4th place – Jerry Burkhart/ Phil Gillian (5) 7 # 12 oz.
5th place – Jason and Bryan Suter (5) 7 # 10 oz.
6th place – Tim Schwall/ Mike Hansen (5) 7 # 7oz.
7th place – Brett and Chance Jarrell (4) 6 # 13.2 oz.
8th place – James Luke/ Larry Vucelich (5) 6 # 13.0 oz.
9th place – Jeff Dunn/ Eric Straight (4) 6 # 10.8 oz.
10th place – Ed Ayers/ Brandon Tallhammer (5) 6 # 10.7 oz.
11th place – Terry Ayers/ Kenneth Tullius (5) 6 # 9 oz.
