Ohio River Buddy Trail Powhatan Point Results 8/11/2018
The old river is being difficult this year and the “ Dog Days “ are not helping matters, however
this trail has some of the best river fishermen around. With an average of 65 teams per tournament
several teams always figure out how to get a decent catch to get into the money and this tournament
was no different. Ed Frasnelli and Michael Hogue, only had three keepers but were all good ones for a
6.27 # catch good enough for the win, which is their second win from the Powhatan Point Ramp
this year. The June tournament that they won they also had Big Bass, a smallmouth that tipped the
scales at 5 # 12 ounces. This August tournament Big Bass went to the Polymers Services Team of Tony
Brown and Dustin Blair at 3.99 #’s smallmouth bass. Two regular season tournaments to go, and this
was the second tournament with a big shake up in the points race. Greg Wilson and Mark Eaton
moved into the lead with 361 points. The next ORBT is August 25th at the Frontier Ramp. With that in
mind, I need to ask the teams to NOT block the entrance upon arrival. Too much traffic on route 7
to stop teams from getting into the parking area; we will probably need to have two lanes of
trucks and trailers going to put in and to leave openings for others to get to the registration table.
Also to help avoid this problem I’m asking everyone as soon as you get your chip, put your boat in the
river. Here is the top eleven places:

5th place – Todd Hague / Darrell Hague ( 4 ) 5.11 #’s $ 170.00
6th place – Nick McMahon / Logan Barsh ( 5 ) 4.96 #’s $ 160.00
7th place – Tony Brown / Dustin Blair ( 2 ) 4.77 #’s $ 150.00
8th place – Frank Douglas / Buster Owens ( 4 ) 4.08 #’s $ 130.00
